BUSINESS ADDRESS FOR FOREIGN COMPANY
The regulation for foreign businesses in Indonesia, be it a foreign limited company or representative office, requires the company to have a business address at a business area. Therefore, it is recommended for foreign companies to rent a ready-to-use office for convenience and to meet the requirements. Without an office, the operation permit will not be issued by the government.

FOREIGN LIMITED COMPANY (PT PMA)
All foreign companies that plans to have a sales transaction within Indonesia must establish a foreign limited company or PT PMA. One of the crucial requirements to establish a PT PMA is to prepare a capital of IDR 1 Million. This capital works as a proof to the Government that the company is genuinely investing in a business in Indonesia. By establishing a PT PMA, the foreign company will be able to operate like a local company albeit with more restrictions in terms of company ownership. Furthermore, a PT PMA will also be able to join project tenders and conduct sales transactions.
REPRESENTATIVE OF FOREIGN COMPANY (KPPA)
Representative of Foreign Company or otherwise known as Kantor Perwakilan Perusahaan Asing (KPPA) manages the interest of the parent company and to prepare the establishment of the parent company in Indonesia. In general, this type of company is used by the parent company to do market research in the country. If the result is satisfying then the parent company will establish a foreign limited company in the country. As KPPA is a representative company, no sales transactions or invoice production is allowed. To setup a KPPA, the company must have a physical office in an office tower.
REPRESENTATIVE OF FOREIGN TRADING COMPANY (KPPPA)
Representative of Foreign Trading Company or otherwise known asKantor Perwakilan Perdagangan Perusahaan Asing (KPPPA) is a representative office that mainly functions as an extension of a marketing arm for the parent company. The company will conduct marketing activities in the target country to increase brand awareness. However, they are prohibited from making sales transactions or producing invoice. This type of company also needs a physical office located at a proper office tower in order to operate.

1. What are the permits and licenses available for VO?
We can provide standard business licenses except for special business permits. For instance, a property agent must have a legitimate physical office – please see serviced offices.
2. Can you sign up for Virtual Office without a company (PT)?
Associations and CV are also able to use Virtual Office. However, Virtual Office is not available for personal use.
3. Can I use Virtual Office if I’m planning to register my company as a taxable company (PKP)?
Yes. However, please be reminded that as a taxable company, there are taxes that need to be paid directly to the government.
4. Does the Virtual Office package include a private office?
Virtual Office does not include a private office, however, based on the package it also includes a meeting room and access to the lounge.
5. How long is the processing time of domicile letter in MESO?
Domicile Letter will be issued within 1 business day after contract signing and payment fully received by MESO.
